VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) is an excellent solution for those who can count money and respect their time. It does not matter who you are: a freelancer working at home with multimedia content, a small business owner or an IT director of a large enterprise.
VDI allows you to use a thin client (such as an Intel Stick) to access a remote computer that will outnumber most workstations and laptops many times over. In addition, you will get access to high-speed Internet channels of backbone Internet providers.
Let's look at several scenarios for the use of Host-Telecom VDI.
Using the service will increase the computing power of your home device (you can even connect from the tablet). You will be able to use such resource-intensive works as video editing or graphics rendering.
You are in charge of the IT infrastructure of a small firm. You have the opportunity to replace 5-6 office computers with 1 server. You no longer need to buy additional software licenses, you do not need to administer hardware, you do not need to worry about firewalls, or about antivirus software.
A large company - a large fleet of equipment. The larger the local computer park, the greater the total cost of ownership, which consists of repairing equipment, updating outdated or failing equipment. You can reduce such costs by moving the infrastructure into a virtual form.
How it works?
We can offer Windows and Linux solutions
- Windows remote desktop (based on Windows Server 2012 with RDP 6 and based on WS 2016 with RDP 8);
- Linux remote desktop.
There are two hardware implementation schemes
- based on a physical server, 1 server and several remote desktops on it - cheap, but not fault-tolerant;
- based on MS-virtualization (Cloud + Hyper-V) - in this case, the remote desktop running on a virtual machine inside the cloud does not depend on the specific hardware and can be automatically moved from one physical server to another.
We can offer any scheme of your choice.
